The Adams Graphix WISSOTA Street Stocks were one of the divisions that took part in the J&S-JCB Labor Day Duel at Deer Creek Speedway. Also on the card were the USMTS Modifieds along with USRA Stock Cars and B-Mods.
Ten Street Stocks ran two eight lap heat races to start the portion of the program. Kylie Kath drove Zach Elward’s machine to a win in the first heat over Dustin Doughty and Kolton Brauer. The second heat race was won by Braden Brauer with Kory Adams and Kevin Vogt second and third.
Dustin Doughty and Kory Adams redrew for the front row to start the 18-lap feature. Doughty jumped to the early lead while Kath darted quickly to second from row two. Bobby Blowers was third while Adams got shuffled to fourth. Kath quickly challenged Doughty for the lead on lap three and behind them Adams and Blowerd raced for third.
Kath worked the low groove and Doughty ran high when they were side-by-side for the lead on lap four. Kath was scored the leader of lap five, but Doughty remained right to his outside. Doughty rallied back on lap six and regained the lead in turn four. Adams, Blowers and Braden Brauer had a good battle going for third.
Once Doughty claimed the lead he drove away from the pack and opened up a huge lead. Doughty went on to win by a 5.699-second margin over Kath. It was Doughty’s third win in his third appearance at the speedway this season. Adams ended up in the third spot with Brauer in fourth and Blowers in the top five.
