Deer Creek Awards Banquet Set For January 13

Spring Valley, MN - By: Todd Narveson - As we get set to celebrate Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s with our family and friends the Deer Creek Speedway is gearing up to celebrate the 2017 race season with their racing family. The 2017 Deer Creek Speedway Awards Banquet will take place shortly after the turn of the calendar to 2018.

The 2017 Awards Banquet will be held Saturday, January 13, 2018 and will have a new venue this year. The banquet will be at the Rochester International Event Center located at 7333 Airport View Drive SW in Rochester near the Rochester International Airport.

The banquet tickets will not be online so please call the Deer Creek Speedway office at (507) 754-6107. Tickets to the banquet are $30 per person and tables will hold up to 8 people. Once again each Champion will receive 2 FREE tickets to the banquet.

The festivities will kick off with a social hour beginning at 5:00 p.m. with the meal to follow at 6:00 p.m. The meal will consist of grilled chicken with hunter sauce, burgundy peppercorn steak with demi glaze, hand tossed caeser salad, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans along with assorted bars and snacks.

The awards portion of the evening will follow the meal. The top five drivers in each of the five divisions will receive trophies with the top ten receiving point fund checks from their respective sanctioning bodies. Also the “King of the Creek� presented by A&A Electric and Underground will be crowned. The Super Stock drivers who meet the criteria of the Brauer Roofing “Super Stock Challenge� and are in attendance will be up for a $1000 bonus too. Also the youngsters in the Slingshots will be presented with their awards and trophies also.

After the awards are competed there will be entertainment to enjoy. So stick around and visit with your racing family and get geared up for the 2018 season.
