The A&A Electric Southern Minnesota Spring Challenge has been postponed.

SPRING VALLEY, MN - May 28th:  The A&A Electric Southern Minnesota Spring Challenge scheduled for tonight at Deer Creek Speedway has been postponed.

 

Sunny skies and seventy degree temps early in the afternoon had Speedway Officials optimistic about getting the show in. The track prep crew fired up the equipment and were able to work the track in from the overnight and morning rain fall.

 

Over 120 cars checked into the back gate, fans were filling the stands and the track was almost ready when another round of showers hit the speedway.

 

After an hour rain delay speedway officials held a meeting. The track prep crew projected that it would take a couple hours to work the speedway in which would push the start time back to sometime around nine o’clock. The pending forecast was also calling for another round of showers to be in the area at about the same time which forced officials to postpone the event.

 

Deer Creek Speedway and USMTS officials will continue to discuss dates to rescheduled the event and a release will be posted soon.
