Crapser Continues Winning Ways, Blowers Tough in Street Stock Division

Spring Valley MN - June 16, 2013:  (Photos courtesy of Gulbranson Photo) Mother Nature again tried to put a halt to the racing action at Deer Creek Speedway by dropping a early afternoon shower onto the speedway. The crew quickly worked the moisture into the speedway and got the show underway just a little after 6. 112 racers showed up to do battle on the fast and tacky speedway. A great group of Scouts joined in on the activities at the speedway on the night as all Scouts in uniform got into the speedway for free.

Bernie Adams powered outside of Noah Grinstead to take the early lead in the SixTwo Graphics WISSSOTA Street Stock feature on lap one. Karl Hewitt Jr. worked into second by the end of lap one, while an early three wide battle for fourth took place. Danny Richards, Troy Voth and Mike Blowers battled for the fourth spot until Richards took the spot on lap two. Blowers started to pressure Richards again on lap five as they moved past Grinstead for third and fourth. Up front Hewitt Jr., started to gain ground on Adams. With seven completed the top five started to close into each other on the speedway. On lap eight Blowers and Richards were side by side for third. Blowers took the spot and then quickly worked under Hewitt Jr. for the second spot. Lap eleven saw Blowers work past Adams to take over the lead of the race. Richards worked under Hewitt Jr. for the third spot on lap fourteen. Richards dove under Adams for the second spot coming to the checkers. Adams was onto the game as he cut back under Richards to retake the second spot as the checkers flew over the field. Shaun Mann and Karl Hewitt Jr won the heat races earlier in the night
