SPRING VALLEY, MN:  June 25, 2012 (Photo courtsey of Buck Monson Photo)An overcast morning and early afternoon led to clearing skies and perfect night for racing action on North Country Equipment night at the speedway. Tonight was also the mid-season point's championship night at the speedway with the point leaders in all five classes honored before the racing action began on the night.

After a complete restart Jacob Bleess jumped out to the early lead with Ben Moudry close behind in second. Moudry took over the lead after lap one with Alex Williamson in third. Kylie Kath and Lee Jonsgaard were side by side for fourth. Kath moved into third on lap three as Williamson pushed up the track in turn four. A caution bunched the field back up and on the restart Kath moved into second with Bleess in third and Shaun Walski into the fourth spot. Jonsgaard, Williamson and Jerry Young were three wide for fifth as another caution flew over the speedway. On the lap five restart Moudry led with Kath in second. Erik Kanz, Williamson and Young were now racing three wide for the fourth spot. Brady Keefe started coming through the field and on lap eight was found in the fifth spot. Kath moved alongside of Moudry on lap fourteen as another caution flew. Kath got the run on the restart and took over the lead on lap fifteen. Moudry sat in second with Bleess in third. Keefe and Kanz rounded out the top five as the checkers flew over the field

Derek Ludington led in the Cap N Cork WISSOTA Street Stock feature event with Bernie Adams in second. Mike Blowers sat in third on lap one while a tight pack of cars raced for the fourth spot. With three completed Shaun Mann was credited with the fourth spot while Fred Prudoehl raced into fifth. With four complete Blowers was pressuring Adams for the second spot but two laps later Adams was working on Ludington for the lead. Blowers and Mann raced for third as the top four raced side by side two rows deep close enough to touch any car at any time. With seven down Adams moved into the lead, while Mann and Blowers continued to race for the second spot as Ludington dropped back to the fourth spot. Blowers took over the second spot and started to pressure Adams for the lead. With fourteen completed Blowers took over the lead while Adams got shuffled back to the fourth spot behind Mann and Ludington. At the finish it was Blowers with the win. Mann, Adams, Troy Voth and Prudoehl rounded out the top five.

Josh Crary led early in the Dirt Doctor Trucking WISSOTA Midwest Modified feature event. Bill Stettner and Jared Boumeester raced for the second spot with Cory Crapser and Cody Gardner raced for third. Crapser moved up to third and then went three wide with Crary and Boumeester for the lead when he lost the handle on his machine bringing out the caution. On the restart Crary led with Gardner, Stettner and Boumeester racing for second. Boumeester dropped back leaving Gardner and Stettner to race for second. Gardner took over second while Tyler Clark worked past Boumeester for the fourth spot. Seven laps completed and Gardner now was racing Crary for the lead. Clark moved up to race with Stettner for the third spot as another caution slowed up the field. On the restart Gardner took over the lead with Stettner and Clark racing for second. Clark took over the second spot as the laps wound down. Jason Born and Don Schaefer worked past Crary to move inside the top five. At the finish it was Gardner with the win. Clark, Stettner, Born and Schaefer rounded out the top five.

Dave Solum jumped out front in the Wagner Trucking WISSOTA Super Stock feature event with Ryan Siegle and Jeff Brauer racing for second. Brauer took over second and then pulled alongside of Solum on lap two as they raced for the lead. Siegle sat in third and with four down Brett Dulas moved up to race him for that position. A caution flew on lap four and on the restart Brauer led with Siegle, Solum and Kelly Anderson three wide for the second spot. Anderson took control of second on lap seven with Siegle back into third. With nine complete Anderson moved up to race with Brauer for the lead.  Michael Hofer moved into third on lap eleven as Anderson and Brauer were side by side at the line for the lead.   Anderson would catch Brauer out of turn four each lap as he was faster through that end but Brauer would pull back into the lead through one and two as he had a faster line. The two did this battle for the last eight laps of the race with Brauer holding onto the lead and the win. Anderson, Hofer, Solum and Dulas rounded out the top five.

The Altenburg Construction WISSOTA Late Models were up next with Roger Torgerson taking the early lead. Joe Ludemann sat in second with Lance Matthees and Mike Prochnow racing for third on lap two. Ludemann took over the lead on lap three with Prochnow and Matthees following Ludemann past Torgerson. With six complete Prochnow started to work on Ludemann up front and on lap eight completed his pass for the lead. Torgerson tried to hold off Kyle Jumbeck on lap nine but Jumbeck took over the fourth spot on lap ten. With twelve down Robby Bunkelman took over the fifth spot. Up front Matthees moved past Ludemann for the second spot and on lap thirteen Jumbeck followed through to third. At the checkers it was Prochnow with the win. Matthees, Jumbeck, Ludemann and Bunkelman rounded out the top five.

It was a wild feature event in the NAPA AutoCare USRA Modified feature event with Jason Cummins jumping out front early on. Brandon Davis quickly took over the second spot with Josh Angst in third. With six down Angst and Jake Timm were side by side for the third spot while Mark Teske and Todd Scharkey raced for the fifth spot. Scharkey took over fifth while Timm moved into third on lap ten.  Through the early ten laps there was some great racing further back in the field but things were going to get really heated up front. With thirteen down Cummins started to run into lap traffic allowing Davis to close on him. With fifteen down they ran into a three car battle for position. Cummins checked up down low while Davis moved around the pack to take over the lead on lap seventeen. On lap twenty Davis was flying up top and while trying to lap a slower car just past the flag stand Davis ended up getting pinched into the wall. After getting pinched in the wall, Davis ran into the turn one wall where the car sat motionless until a slower car collected the back half of his car. All drivers were okay but Davis's car was a big loss with the fuel cell coming out of the car and heavy damage to all corners of the car. On the restart Cummins led with Timm, Lucas Schott and Angst racing for second. Timm took over the second spot ahead of Schott. A little further back Mark Teske and Dan Bohr moved into the top five as Angst dropped out of contention. At the finish it was Cummins with the win, Timm, Schott, Teske and Bohr rounded out the top five.
